Today is the official start of a month-long countdown for my birthday. I had to double check several times this year if I’m really turning 24 this November coz I don’t feel old. When I turned 20, I thought wished that by 24, I’d have a toddler or two, a stable job abroad, an MA degree and a loving lap dog. But obviously, none of these happened. When I was young and full of hope, I thought I could always accomplish things whenever I planned to. Apparently, it’s not that easy. Even if you are so much in control of your life, some things just don’t happen for reasons we don’t understand yet.

I’m actually feeling a lil depressed lately but I’m glad DJ’s there, as always, to keep things uphill. Yesterday, I purposely didn’t see him coz I don’t want to feel very emotionally dependent on him. Inaway-away ko pa siya kunwari. Haha. But I couldn’t resist it now so I went to his house this morning to get some healing. (Gagu. This ain’t sexual! Hahaha!)

Before bringing me home, we went to Sta Lucia Grandmall initially to window shop. Sale sa Nike Park so we decided to buy a pair of rubber shoes, thanks to his credit card. :) Mine is more of a cross-training kind with a shade of pink and black. His is… well… a black leathery shoes na pang-porma lang. Hehe. Hope I could do some rounds in UP acad oval every Saturday to put the pretty Nike shoes in good use. Undeniably, I’m beginning to have thin flabs of love handles that I soo much hate. I don’t want to look 28 this 24th year of my life! And I only have freakin 31 days to redeem myself. Maybe I don’t FEEL old. I LOOK old. Oh gawd help me.
